Stator Turn?to?turn Faults Diagnosis Asynchronous?Based on Coherence Analysis

Abstract: The vibration characteristics of the motor and the frequency spectrum of the stator current at stator turn?to?turn short circuit were analyzed. This analysis, however, could not get exact and reliable diagnosis for the inherent asymmetry of the motor. Hence, a method to diagnose the stator faults of asynchronous motors based on coherence analysis was presented. Utilizing this method the fault characteristics can be extracted effectively and the precision of the faults recognition was therefore improved. Experimental results demonstrated that the spectrum characteristics based on coherence analysis can be used to diagnose the stator turn?to?turn faults of asynchronous motors.?
